E aí pessoal!! I hope you all had an awesome week!!
I HAD A HAMBURGER. I have missed hamburgers so much. I know
that sounds ridiculous but it is the truth. Imagine my joy when I walk into the
cafeteria for dinner and lo and behold a beautiful hamburger. It was glorious.
I don't think I have ever eaten anything so fast. #bestnightofmylife.
This week was crazy!! It feels as if my district took the
Come Follow Me from this past week about the 10 plagues of Egypt a little too
literally. "This week we learned about the 10 Plagues of Egypt. This week
at the CTM we lived the 10 Plauges." -My comp Sister Roberts. I don't
think I can even count how many priesthood blessings of healing have been
given, but I do know for a fact that it is an unhealthy amount. I still haven't
gotten sick and I am SO grateful. It seems as if everyday we wake up and someone
from my district has something new ailing them ultimately sending them to the
nurse/hospital. My comp Sister Roberts went to the hospital and they wouldn't
let Sister Aston or I go with her because they are still processing our visa's
and we need ID to enter the hosptial. Sister Michel got sick as well and was
taken to the hospital in an ambulance. Even though she was barely concious, in
her time of need, she was still caring for others. While she was getting weeled
away to the ambulance she yelled "Sister Whiting, I love you!" I love
you too Sister Michel!! I was so relieved when both her and Sister Roberts
returned safely to the CTM. And about two days ago Elder Banda got shipped off
to the hosital too. Basically District 12 here at the CTM is slowly perishing.
Maybe this is a lost episode in the Hunger Games series? And instead of an
arena they just put us up against food and germs here at the CTM.
Even though this week has been stressful, I have felt the
divine power that comes from prayer. In every time of need, the Lord will
always be there for you- no matter what, no matter where, and no matter why. It
made me think about one of my favorite characters in the Book of Mormon, Enos.
He prayed all through the day and all through the night. And he was comforted
by God. I have felt comforted by my Savior this past week through prayer. I
know that he is there for me when I struggle. I know that he is proud of me. I
know he is there to help me walk when I feel like I can't go any further. He is
my Savior, my Brother, and my Redeemer. And I know that in him I shall
rest.
"And I soon go to the place of my rest, which is with
my Redeemer; for I know that in him I shall rest. And I rejoice in the day when
my mortal shall put on immortality, and shall stand before him; then shall I
see his face with pleasure, and he will say unto me: Come unto me, ye blessed,
there is a place prepared for you in the mansions of my Father. Amen."
(Enos 1:27)
